The poem by Rita Dove entitled, Golden Oldie, is a beautiful description of a moment in the characters life that is extremely intriguing. When I finished the poem I only wanted to know when the character would find love and who she would find love with. The photo taken by Huge Bell also intrigues you in wanting to know the characters story. When reading Dove’s poem and gazing at Bells photo, they allow you to imagine the characters lives (where they were before, where will they end up) in a magical and poetic manner. Both the poem and photo are beautiful, inspiring and intriguing.
